Sri Muktinath Temple nestled in the snowy mountains of Himalayas in Nepal stands apart among the 108 Divyadesam Temples and among the eight Swayamvyakta Vishnu Kshetras that are close to the hearts of all the Vaishnava followers. The other Swayamvyakta Vishnu Kshetras are Srirangam, Srimushnam, Tirumala Tirupati Temple, Naimisharanya, Thotadri, Pushkar and Badrinath.

This holy temple in the lap of the remote Muktinath Valley is at an elevation of 3,710 meters above sea level.
